Ann Benson is a gifted story teller. I am reading this on my Kindle and when i put it aside and have to go do something else (besides read!), I find myself wondering what the characters are up to! (Not unlike Pillars of the Earth and World Without End from Ken Foillet). The contrast the author makes between the human condition in the post-modern world and the 12th century is just remarkable. I am still reading it so I hope it continues to the end with the strength that it has been building all along.

This is a book I would gladly read more than once.
I picked this book up because I have read Benson's previous Novels. Benson utilizes the same characters as before, but in a slightly different way. I really enjoyed reading this one. THEIF of SOULS was not my favorite, but thought I would give Benson another opportunity. If you enjoyed THE PLAGUE TALES, you will enjoy this one too. Worthy of 5 STARS!!!
The novel held my interest. There was very little sexual content or violence. It was well written.
Excellent boo, as always, from Ann Benson. The end of the Plague Tales Trilogy. Must read.
This book was a gift. I checked out a copy myself from the library but didn't read the entire book. The previous books in the series were very good.
If you enjoy the medical mystery genres Ann Benson's "The Plague Tales" trilogy is a recommended read. I found all three books highly enjoyable with an easy flow from past to present day.
